Seven Signs: registration, seals and Ancient Adena
Seven Signs combines the Dawn-versus-Dusk competition with three seals, Seal Stone contributions and services paid in Ancient Adena. Syndicate opens catacombs and necropolises and keeps Mammon in towns, but registration, competition and rewards remain different activities.
- Cycle
- Two weeks: competition and seal validation
- Seal Stones
- Blue 3; green 5; red 10 Ancient Adena
- Syndicate
- Catacombs and necropolises open to everyone
- Mammon
- Giran and Aden; winning-cabal membership not required
- Registration
- First class transfer completed; cabal-specific conditions
The cycle and its schedule
The cycle alternates a competition week with a seal-validation week. Two 15-minute transitions handle recruiting and results; priest options are not all available throughout the entire cycle.
The main changes are calculated for Monday at 18:00 server time. Do not turn this into a fixed UTC hour or confuse it with your own time zone. Check the current period with a priest or the Record of Seven Signs.
During competition you support a cabal through contributions and the Festival. Validation applies results and lets eligible players claim rewards. Free catacomb entry does not register your character.
Registering with Dawn or Dusk
- Speak to a Priest of Dawn or Priestess of Dusk and read the participation option. You must have completed at least the first class transfer: an initial-class character cannot participate.
- Choose both a cabal and a seal, checking the selection before confirming. Supporting a side and selecting the seal you want it to control are different decisions.
- Second-profession characters and above without Dawn’s castle condition may need a Lord of the Manor's Certificate of Approval or pay 50,000 Adena. The priest offers the applicable path; this is not a universal participation fee.
- With castle restrictions active, a character whose clan owns a castle cannot register with Dusk. Check before planning for the entire clan to choose the same side.
Seal Stones and Ancient Adena
- Seal Stones have different values: Blue Seal Stone is worth 3, Green Seal Stone 5 and Red Seal Stone 10 Ancient Adena. Calculate by color and quantity, not by inventory-stack count.
- Distinguish contributing stones to the competition from exchanging stones. Contributions increase your score and support the cabal; claiming the contribution reward requires the appropriate period and victory.
- Read the priest’s exchange and reward options. Confirm the number of stones and the purpose of the operation: not every button immediately awards Ancient Adena.
- Ancient Adena and Adena are different currencies. A Mammon service priced in Ancient Adena does not automatically accept ordinary Adena. Review the full price before upgrading or exchanging a weapon.
What the three seals represent
- Seal of Avarice: traditionally associated with necropolises and the Merchant of Mammon.
- Seal of Gnosis: associated with catacombs, the Blacksmith of Mammon and NPCs of the validation period.
- Seal of Strife: participates in castle and siege rules; it is not a permanent personal bonus for registering.
- A cabal victory does not guarantee every seal: participant selections and previous ownership also matter. Check each seal’s result, not only the overall winner.
What Syndicate changes
Catacombs and necropolises are open to everyone, regardless of registration, winning cabal, seal owner or period. This removes that entry barrier, not the danger inside or separate quest requirements.
Merchant, Blacksmith and Black Marketeer of Mammon have permanent locations in Giran and Aden. Merchant and Blacksmith do not require winning-cabal membership. You do not need to search catacombs to find these town services.
Services retain their costs and materials. Open Mammon access does not make upgrades or exchanges free, nor does it give contribution rewards to ineligible characters.
The story quests named Seven Signs are not this competition. They have their own NPCs, levels and steps; opening the dungeons does not complete them.
A practical route without mixing systems
- For catacomb or necropolis farming, prepare level, resistances, shots and party. Do not register merely because you think Syndicate’s entrance requires Dawn or Dusk membership.
- For Mammon, visit Giran or Aden and inspect the recipe. A Special Ability needs a compatible weapon, SA choice and Soul Crystal.
- To participate in Seven Signs, check the period, deliberately choose cabal and seal, and keep track of contributions so you can claim through the appropriate option.
Frequently asked questions
Must I win Seven Signs to enter a catacomb?
Not on Syndicate. Catacombs and necropolises are open regardless of registration, winner, seal or period.
Where can I find Mammon without waiting for the cycle?
Permanent Merchant, Blacksmith and Black Marketeer locations exist in Giran and Aden; their services still require payment and materials.
Is a red Seal Stone worth the same as a blue one?
No. Blue is worth 3 Ancient Adena, green 5 and red 10. Also distinguish exchanging stones from contributing them to a cabal.
Does everyone pay 50,000 Adena to register?
No. It is one Dawn-entry path for second-profession characters and above without the required castle condition; the priest applies the specific requirements.
Is Seven Signs the same as its story quests?
No. The periodic Dawn/Dusk competition and narrative quests are different systems; open dungeons do not complete those quests.
