Queen Ant is the first open-world epic boss: level 40, in the deepest chamber of the Ant Nest. It is a war of attrition against the Queen, her larva and the nurses that keep healing them.

Getting there

  • In Gludio, Gatekeeper Bella takes you to "The Ant Nest" for 2,100 Adena.
  • From the arrival point, go down through the nest to the Queen's chamber, the deepest one.
  • The Queen lives in the Ant Nest and needs no entry item. When she spawns, everyone inside her chamber is moved to one of three exits of the nest, so waiting inside does not work.

The fight

  • Larva: spawns next to the Queen and the nurses keep it alive.
  • Nurses: heal the larva and the Queen every second. Deal with them before you push the Queen's health down.
  • Guards and Royal Guards: Royal Guards come back every 4–5 minutes while the Queen lives.
  • Leash: pull her more than 2,000 from her nest and the Queen forgets her attackers and walks back.

Level and raid curse

The raid curse is disabled server-wide on L2 Syndicate and the level cap is 85: a high-level character can kill her without being petrified. That does not make her trivial for a badly geared group.

Rewards

The Ring of Queen Ant drops at 30%. Boss jewels keep their original chance (the server rates do not multiply it) and the loot goes to the party that dealt the most damage. As an open-world boss she also gives 2 Bound Coins of Luck to the loot recipient.

What the Ring of Queen Ant gives

  • Physical critical damage +15% and Accuracy +2.
  • Resistance and attack success bonuses of 30% for poison and 20% for hold.
  • Wearing two Rings of Queen Ant does not double their effects.
