High Five Classes: races, professions and roles
In Lineage 2 High Five you choose a race and a starting class, then specialize through class transfers. A third class name retains the identity of its earlier profession: Cardinal evolves from Bishop and Titan from Destroyer. This guide explains the families without treating them as a ranking of PvP winners: equipment, buffs, teammates and opponents all change the outcome.

Human: eleven third profession paths
- Gladiator → Duelist: physical damage with dual swords and charge skills. Warlord → Dreadnought: polearms, control and damage against groups of enemies.
- Paladin → Phoenix Knight and Dark Avenger → Hell Knight: tanks. Both protect the group, but their healing, summons and defensive tools differ.
- Hawkeye → Sagittarius: archer. Treasure Hunter → Adventurer: daggers and positional attacks.
- Sorcerer → Archmage: offensive fire magic. Necromancer → Soultaker: dark magic, debuffs and a servitor. Warlock → Arcana Lord: feline summons.
- Bishop → Cardinal: healing, recovery and resurrection. Prophet → Hierophant: buffs and support; it is not equivalent to a specialized healer.
Elf and Dark Elf
- Elf: Temple Knight → Eva's Templar (tank and cubics); Swordsinger → Sword Muse (songs); Plains Walker → Wind Rider (dagger); Silver Ranger → Moonlight Sentinel (bow).
- Elf magic: Spellsinger → Mystic Muse (water); Elemental Summoner → Elemental Master (unicorns); Elven Elder → Eva's Saint (healing, Recharge and support).
- Dark Elf: Shillien Knight → Shillien Templar (tank and cubics); Bladedancer → Spectral Dancer (dances); Abyss Walker → Ghost Hunter (dagger); Phantom Ranger → Ghost Sentinel (bow).
- Dark Elf magic: Spellhowler → Storm Screamer (wind); Phantom Summoner → Spectral Master (servitors); Shillien Elder → Shillien Saint (healing, Recharge and support).
Orc, Dwarf and Kamael
- Orc: Destroyer → Titan, a physical specialist with two-handed weapons; Tyrant → Grand Khavatari, fist weapons and totems; Overlord → Dominator, clan buffs and debuffs; Warcryer → Doomcryer, party buffs.
- Dwarf: Bounty Hunter → Fortune Seeker, Spoil and Sweep for materials; Warsmith → Maestro, Dwarven crafting and golems. Economic utility matters when choosing a character too.
- Male Kamael: Berserker → Doombringer; Soul Breaker → Soul Hound. Female Kamael: Arbalester → Trickster; Soul Breaker → Soul Hound. Doombringer uses ancient swords, Trickster crossbows, and Soul Hound combines a rapier, magic and souls.
- Inspector → Judicator is a special Kamael subclass path with support skills. It becomes available after developing the first two subclasses; a new character cannot choose it as a starting class.
- There are 35 distinct third profession names, including Judicator. Soul Hound has male and female variants sharing the same name.
Choosing without relying on a tier list
- If you enjoy deciding whom to save and when to spend MP, consider Bishop/Cardinal, Elven Elder/Eva's Saint or Shillien Elder/Shillien Saint. If you prefer directing the position of a fight, consider a tank.
- For ranged damage, choose between archers and mages; for melee, distinguish sustained attacks, skill bursts and dagger attacks that require positioning.
- Example: a mage party often benefits from Recharge, magic buffs and compatible songs and dances. Another attacker may help less than covering a missing source of MP or protection.
- In L2 Syndicate you can form a group with Allies and use Gambits. This expands your possible compositions, while each Ally retains its own class and skills.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best class in High Five?
It depends on your goal. An Olympiad duel, a mage party, polearm farming and gathering materials need different tools. Choose your role first, then the equipment and teammates.
Does High Five have 34 or 35 third professions?
There are 34 main progression names and Judicator as a special Kamael subclass profession: 35 names in total. Soul Hound has male and female variants.
Can I create a Judicator as my starting class?
No. Inspector/Judicator belongs to the special Kamael subclass system and requires developing the first two subclasses.
