Baium

Baium, the cursed emperor, sleeps as a statue at the top of the Tower of Insolence. Whoever wakes him has to defeat him along with the Archangels that come down to defend him.

Getting there

  • In Aden, Gatekeeper Elisa takes you to "Tower of Insolence" for 4,200 Adena.
  • Climb the tower to the Angelic Vortex at the top, with your Blooded Fabric.

How to enter

  • Each player talks to the Angelic Vortex, which takes 1 Blooded Fabric and sends them to Baium's floor.
  • Blooded Fabric costs 25M Adena in the Supply Shop (ALT+B → Shop or the Syndicate Quartermaster), or 18 Bound Coins in the Bound Store.
  • While Baium is fighting, the Vortex lets nobody else through: everyone goes in before he wakes.
  • Your Allies follow you up with the rest of your group.

The fight

  • Baium wakes when someone talks to his statue, and the Archangels come down to defend him.
  • After 30 minutes with no attacks, Baium goes back to sleep.
  • When he dies a teleport cube appears for 15 minutes.
  • Baium's Archangel never spawns as a Champion.

Archangels and leaving

The Archangels disappear when Baium dies. The cube lets you leave for 15 minutes; collect the loot before leaving.

Rewards

On L2 Syndicate the Ring of Baium always drops (100%). As an open-world boss, Baium also gives 2 Bound Coins of Luck to the loot recipient.

What the Ring of Baium gives

  • Physical critical damage +15%, Accuracy +2, Atk. Spd. +4% and Casting Spd. +4%.
  • Resistance and attack success bonuses of 40% for poison and 30% for hold.
  • Two Rings of Baium do not double the passive; Ring of Baium and Ring of Queen Ant are different jewels.
