Getting there

  • In Hunters Village, Gatekeeper Esmeralda takes you to "Antharas's Lair" for 7,000 Adena. From there, cross the lair to the Heart of Warding at the far end.
  • If you are Noblesse, Esmeralda drops you next to the heart: "The Heart of Antharas's Lair" for 1,000 Adena or one Olympiad Token.

How to enter

  • The party or Command Channel leader talks to the Heart of Warding carrying a Portal Stone. It is not consumed.
  • Members within 1,000 go in, Allies included, up to 200 people in the nest.
  • From the first entry there is a 10 minute wait before he wakes. After that nobody else can enter.
  • A Portal Stone costs 150M Adena in the Supply Shop or 100 Bound Coins in the Bound Store.

The fight

  • He uses tail, breath, meteors and fear depending on his health and where you hit him. He regenerates in phases and punishes anyone on a strider.
  • Waves: every 5 minutes Behemoths and Tarasks arrive, up to 8 per wave.
  • Sandstorm: after the fear, Antharas moves to the centre and the Dragon Bombers rise.
  • Inactivity: 15 minutes without attacks send everyone back to Giran and reset the fight.
  • When he dies the Teleportation Cubic appears for 15 minutes.

The Call of Antharas

Theodric, beside the Heart of Warding, offers the daily The Call of Antharas from level 83 to players carrying a Portal Stone. Accept it before fighting: you need one Behemoth Dragon Leather and one Tarask Dragon's Leather Fragment from the waves. Hand them in for a Scroll: Antharas Call, which takes you to Theodric.

Rewards

The Earring of Antharas always drops (100%). Antharas counts for Dragon Trophy and Jewel of Antharas and gives 2 Bound Coins of Luck to the loot recipient. His death brings Nevit's Heralds with the Fall of the Dragon buff.

Fall of the Dragon and Nevit's Heralds

Vitality is active on L2 Syndicate, so the buff lets you farm with its bonus without spending it. Nevit's Blessing, the hunting bar, stays disabled: the buff does not turn it back on.

  • When Antharas or Valakas dies, a server-wide announcement goes out and a Nevit's Herald appears in Schuttgart, Rune, Goddard, Aden, Oren, Giran, Heine, Dion, Gludio, Gludin and Hunters Village.
  • The heralds stay for 3 hours and shout every 5 minutes. If another dragon falls while they are out, no more appear and their stay is not extended.
  • Talk to one to receive Fall of the Dragon: for 3 hours you spend no vitality. Players who already have it cannot take it again.

What the Earring of Antharas gives

  • Received healing +10%, physical and magical skill MP consumption −5% and earth resistance +15.
  • Restores HP equal to 4% of damage from ordinary melee attacks; it does not apply to skills or ranged attacks.
  • Resistance and attack success bonuses of 40% for bleed, 30% for stun and 30% for mental attacks. Two identical earrings do not double their effects.
